EN10217 P235TR2
EN10217-1 P235TR2 steel pipe grade is welded steel tubes for pressure purposes in the technical delivery condition specified in the Norma europea. Este Norma europea applies to welded circular tubes made of non-alloy and alloy steels with specified elevated temperature properties, The name of this pipe refers to its minimum yield strength in MPa stressful during manufacture. This welded steel pipe has good weldability and is suitable for different welding processes, such as fusion welding and resistance welding. This carbon steel pipe is mostly used in boilers, heat exchangers, and other high-temperature equipment and pipelines. According to the technical requirements of different standards, it can also be used in ships, vehicles, bridges, construction, etc. EN10217-1 P235TR2 carbon steel pipe is available in different ends such as plain end, beveled end, threaded end, and socket end; it can also be provided with different surface finishes such as black paint, varnish clear oil, or other finishes according to customer’s requirements. If you have any need of this steel pipe please feel free to contact us. We will offer you the best price and service.

EN10217 P235TR2 Welding Steel Name Designated
- P235TR2 the capital letter P for pressure purposes;
- P235TR2 is the indication of the specified minimum yield strength for thicknesses less than or equal to 16mm;
- The alphanumeric TR2 for qualities with specified aluminum content, impact properties, and specific inspection and testing requirements.
Appearance of EN 10217-1 P235TR2 Pipes
- Costura de soldadura
The weld area of EN 10217-1 pipe shall be free from cracks, lack of fusion, and lack of penetration. Repairs to the weld seam of EW and HFW tubes are not permitted. Repairs to the weld seam of SAW tubes shall be allowed if done by an agreed documented procedure. This ensures that the pipe is strong and durable, and able to withstand the stresses of transport and installation. In addition, it helps to prevent leaks and other problems that can occur when welding defects are present.
- Superficie del tubo
According to EN 10217-1 surface requirement, pipes must be free from external and internal surface defects that can be detected by visual examination. Additionally, the finish and surface condition should allow for any imperfections requiring dressing to be identified. It is permissible to dress surface imperfections by grinding or machining, but only if the wall thickness in the dressed area is not less than the specified minimum wall thickness. All dressed areas should blend smoothly into the contour of the tube. Any surface imperfection that is deeper than 5% of the wall thickness T or 3mm (whichever is smaller) must be dressed. By following these guidelines, manufacturers can ensure that their pipes meet the necessary surface requirements laid out in EN 10217-1.

Marking to be Applied on EN 10217-1 P235TR2 Pipes
Tubes used in high pressure environments, such as those in the energy industry, need to be durable and of high quality. In order to ensure that consumers are getting a product that meets these standards, manufacturers are required to mark their tubes with certain information. This includes the manufacturer’s name or trade mark, the type of tube, the standard number, and the steel name or steel number. For tubes with an outside diameter of over 51mm, this marking may be replaced by a label or tag securely attached to the bundle or box. The label or tag should also include the tube diameter, wall thickness and length range. By requiring this information to be plainly visible on the product, consumers can be confident that they are getting a safe and reliable product.
