EN 10219 S275J2H Steel tubes are hollow tubes for structural use.
Tensile strengths of Cold-Formed S275J2H Steel Welded Pipe range from 410Mpa to 580Mpa, with a minimum yield strength of 255Mpa. S275J2H tubes are widely used in civil engineering applications such as bridge building, structural frame construction, factory constructions, and mechanical engineering systems.
The symbol J and the letter 2 indicate that the quality has the required impact properties at -20°C, respectively.

Con una serie de pruebas de última generación y equipos de inspección, el centro de pruebas e inspección es capaz de realizar las pruebas de tracción, pruebas hidráulicas, pruebas de impacto, DWTT, etc.
Designation for EN 10219 S275J2H Steel Grade
- El número de este Norma europea (especificación EN 10219);
- La letra S mayúscula para el acero estructural;
- La indicación del límite elástico mínimo especificado para un espesor ≤16mm se expresa en N/mm2;
- Las mayúsculas JR para las calidades con propiedades de impacto especificadas a temperatura ambiente;
- La letra mayúscula J y un número 0 o 2 para las calidades con propiedades de impacto especificadas a 0℃ y -20℃ respectivamente;
- La letra H mayúscula indica secciones huecas

Weldability of EN 10219 S275J2H Pipe
This European standard only allows for the use of weldable steel. EN 1011-1 and EN 1011-2 specify the critical parameters for the welding of the products covered by this European standard.
While welding these materials, the primary worry is the development of cold cracking in the welded zone as the product’s thickness, strength level, and CEV grows. Cold cracking happens for a variety of reasons:
- Enhanced diffusible hydrogen concentrations in the weld metal;
- Brittle structure in the heat-affected zone;
- High tensile stress concentrations in the welded joint
