Butt-Welded Fittings
Butt-welded fittings are used in high-pressure, high-temperature or high-purity systems (e.g., petroleum, chemical) by directly aligning the pipe ends with the fittings and welding them together. The weld seam is flush with the inside of the pipe, reducing the risk of turbulence and scale buildup, providing a tight seal and high durability. Socket weld fittings are corner welded by inserting the pipe into the socket of the fittings, and are commonly used in small-diameter (≤ 2 inches) medium and low pressure systems. Suitable for steam, water or non-corrosive media, can withstand moderate vibration.
Threaded Fittings
Threaded fittings are mechanically connected through the engagement of internal and external threads, eliminating the need for welding, and are suitable for low-pressure, ambient-temperature systems. They are quick to install and can be disassembled, relying on sealant or raw material tape to prevent leakage. Not recommended for environments with vibration or frequent temperature changes due to thread wear and stress concentrations.

- Varnish Coating

Epoxy or FPE coating is a high-performance solution for pipe fittings, conforming to all industrial coating standards. It’s a heat-curable, thermosetting epoxy powder offering robust corrosion resistance. Using epoxy resin as the primary film-forming substance, it comes in various types, each with unique properties. Categories include solvent-based, solvent-free, and aqueous epoxy coatings. Despite its potential to become powdery and lose luster when weather-exposed, its superb chemical resistance, thermal stability, electrical insulation, and high adhesion make it ideal for sectors like construction, automotive, and shipbuilding. It’s especially useful as a primer due to its unique characteristics.
