Mild Steel Properties
Mild steel is an iron-carbon alloy with excellent formability and economy, and its unique strength and excellent plasticity have led to its widespread use in areas such as building construction and pressure vessel manufacturing.
Mild Steel Process And Performance Advantages
- Cold forming properties:
Limit Draw Ratio (LDR) up to 2.1-2.3
Bending radius down to 0.5 times the plate thickness
- Welding adaptability:
Carbon equivalent CE ≤ 0.35% (IIW formula)
Applicable processes include SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, etc.
