Steel 304 – Material Core Properties

Stainless steel 304 (06Cr19Ni10) is a typical representative of austenitic stainless steel. It is often used in food machinery, medical equipment, chemical equipment and other fields.

Core Properties Of 304 Stainless Steel Material

The chemical composition of 304 stainless steel is 18-20% chromium and 8-10.5% nickel. The dense chromium oxide passivation film formed by this alloy ratio gives it excellent corrosion resistance, and it can still maintain ductility at -196℃. It also has good resistance to acid and alkali corrosion. It can also be stabilized in pH2-11 environment.
