Types and Properties of Oil Field Casing
Oil field casing is the core structure of oil and gas well construction, which bears the key functions of reinforcing the well wall, isolating the formation and controlling the fluid.
Oil Field Casing Standard and Grade
There are three types of oil field casing: tubing, casing and drill pipe. It adopts API 5CT standard, which categorizes casing into 8 steel grades from H40 to Q125, among which P110/N80 is commonly used in shale gas wells. Oilfield casing has high strength and pressure resistance, excellent corrosion resistance and sealing.
