target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Standar Australia\/Selandia Baru<\/a> untuk penampang berongga baja struktural yang dibentuk dingin. Standar ini menetapkan persyaratan untuk produksi dan suplai penampang berongga baja yang dibentuk dingin dan dilas dengan tahanan listrik yang digunakan untuk keperluan struktural. Standar ini mempertimbangkan tiga tingkat kekuatan, dengan atau tanpa sifat tumbukan, yang sesuai untuk pengelasan. Standar ini berlaku untuk bagian berongga struktural yang dibentuk dingin tanpa perlakuan panas berikutnya. Tujuan dari standar AS 1163 adalah untuk memberikan metode yang seragam kepada produsen dan pemasok dalam menentukan persyaratan untuk produksi bagian berongga baja yang dibentuk dingin dan dilas dengan tahanan listrik. Dimensi, toleransi, dan properti relevan lainnya yang ditentukan dalam Standar ini adalah yang sesuai dengan kemampuan dan praktik manufaktur saat ini. Standar ini tidak dimaksudkan untuk mengubah baja yang tidak sesuai menjadi mutu yang memenuhi persyaratan Standar ini. Namun demikian, tidak ada dalam Standar ini yang melarang penggunaan material dengan mutu yang lebih rendah dari yang ditentukan jika penggunaan tersebut dapat dibuktikan konsisten dengan praktik rekayasa yang baik.
