Hohlprofil

Der Begriff "Hohlprofil" (HSS: Hollow Structural Section) bezieht sich auf eine Art von Metallprofil mit einem hohlen, rohrförmigen Querschnitt. Der Begriff wird vor allem in den Vereinigten Staaten oder in anderen Ländern verwendet, die sich an der US-amerikanischen Terminologie im Bauwesen orientieren. Diese Profile werden manchmal auch als Stahlrohre oder Konstruktionsrohre bezeichnet. Sie bestehen in der Regel aus Metall, aber auch andere Materialien wie Kunststoff oder Glasfaser werden manchmal verwendet. Die gängigsten Metalle für die Herstellung von Hohlprofilen sind Kohlenstoffstahl (CS), Rostfreier Stahl (SS), Aluminium (Al), und Kupfer (Cu). Auch Legierungen wie Titan, Zirkonium usw. können für die Herstellung von Hohlprofilen verwendet werden.
Hohle Abschnitte sind wichtig für ihre Verwendung in der Bauindustrie, da sie viele Vorteile bieten. Zum Beispiel haben sie ein hohes Verhältnis von Festigkeit zu Gewicht, was sie ideal für den Einsatz in tragenden Anwendungen macht. Sie sind auch sehr steif und widerstandsfähig gegen Torsionskräfte, was sie ideal für den Einsatz in Säulen und Trägern macht. Darüber hinaus bieten Hohlprofile eine gute Schlag- und Abriebfestigkeit, so dass sie für strukturelle Anwendungen geeignet sind, bei denen die Gefahr von Stößen oder Abrieb besteht. Rundes Hohlprofil (CHS)

Der erste Typ von Hohlprofilen war Runde Stahlprofile (CHS-Hohlprofil). Häufig verwendet in einer Vielzahl von strukturellen, mechanischen und Bauanwendungen.

CHS-Hohlprofile sind eine beliebte architektonische Wahl für ein ästhetisches Erscheinungsbild in einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen.

Rechteckiger Hohlquerschnitt (RHS)

Reckige Hohlprofile (RHS-Hohlprofile) sind ein häufig verwendetes Material in mechanischen, strukturellen und konstruktiven Anwendungen.
